Underwriting Committee

  • Set company underwriting and eligibility guidelines.
  • Approve policy endorsements and set standards for issuance timelines.
  • Review and approve new member underwriting profile and corresponding pricing parameters.
  • Review annual actuarial report and set funding levels for A and B layers for each program year.
  • Review allocation of A and B contribution levels by member
  • Approve annual reinsurance program.
  • Approve any coverage disputes in consult with the Risk Control Committee
  • Monitor claim trends using standard STARS reports or any other reports as requested from Marsh for committee use. Standard reports are: Claims Above $25,000; Number of Claims by Line of Coverage by Member, Reporting Lag Time Report and Aggregate Loss Data by Member by Program Year.
